Connie Benson - Owner, Master Groomer
I am the co-owner and fulltime operator of Chippie On-The-Go Mobile Pet Grooming, Inc. Prior to becoming a pet groomer, I enjoyed a career of more than 25 years in the dental field. When I first began contemplating a career change, I had no doubt in which direction I would go. I have been an animal lover forever. I have also been fortunate enough to have had a number of amazing animals in my life over the course of the past three decades. I spent several years breeding and raising Pomeranians and Labrador retrievers. I am an advocate for animals rights and a voice for the proper care and treatment of animals. I support local animal shelters and have had the pleasure of adopting a number of shelter animals as well as being a foster parent for others. I have two daughters and sons-in-law and am a proud grandmother of two grandsons, Jeb and Sawyer. When I am not grooming animals, I can often be found taking care of my grandsons and spending time with my family. I am a native of Rockmart, Georgia, but I have lived in Paulding County since 1979. My current pet family includes dogs, cats, and pigs. I have studied under Melissa Verplank, a nationally renowned Certified Master Groomer and president of the highly respected Paragon School of Pet Grooming, Inc. Melissa is a member of Groom Team USA, the International Professional Groomers Association, and the International Society of Canine Cosmetology. She is a respected dog grooming instructor, judge, and seminar speaker. Studying under Melissa's direction has proven to be a most valuable experience for me as a pet groomer and owner. I am a member of the National Dog Groomers Association and a subscriber to several pet grooming instruction and trade publications. My long career in dentistry taught me how to have a keen eye for detail, how to properly and effectively care for my patients, and how to demand nothing less than the best from myself. I pride myself in being a person who can provide a quality grooming service for my clients while never settling for average or mediocre results. I live in Villa Rica, Georgia where I am a working and contributing member of my community.
Cyndy Tolbert - Owner, Grooming Assistant
I am not a pet groomer, but I am a partner in the ownership of Chippie On-The-Go Mobile Pet Grooming, Inc. I am a fulltime middle school teacher in Paulding County. In the evenings and on Saturdays, I assist Connie in grooming animals usually by bathing and brushing them and driving and cleaning the mobile salon. I am responsible for managing the financial side of the business by maintaining the accounts, the inventory, the salon maintenance, the advertising, and the client records. I have owned animals my entire life. My grandfather was an avid horseman, and he instilled in me the love of animals at an early age. Over the course of my life, I have had the opportunity to own numerous horses, dogs, cats, goats, rabbits, ducks, and pigs. My present pet family is made up of the following pets: three Jack Russell terriers, an English springer spaniel, a golden retriever, a dachshund, two manx tabbies, one Persian, one Himalayan, one calico, and one gray tuxedo cat. I also have two pot-bellied pigs. I am that person people call when they need help finding homes for animals. I have a passion for animal rescue, and I support the Humane Society and the local animal shelters. I have tried unsuccessfully to foster abused and abandoned animals while they wait for loving homes, but each time I try, the animals quickly find their own home....mine. Having a parttime career in the animal care field is perfect for me. It is my desire to treat our clients' animals the way we treat our own, giving them the love and attention they need while they are entrusted to our care. I currently make my home in Villa Rica, Georgia where I grew up and have spent most of my life.
